Anonymous asked: You seem like you have it all together. How do you balance being a straight A student with having a job AND having fun/going to shows, all at the same time?

Honestly, during the school year I am almost always stressed and harried. Always in a rush, running late, in and out the door, “sorry can’t talk right now!”, “can i please call you back or can you text me”, etc.. The hardest part about it isn’t doing all of it, but not getting frustrated or anxious when I am doing it all! The second hardest part is trying to stay present in the moment when I’m talking to a friend, because every particle of me wants to continue checking my phone or email, or is thinking about my checklist of things to do :( The most straightforward answer to your question is that I almost never spend a moment doing nothing. My days have activities planned for every waking minute, and I combine all tasks that I can. For example, if I know that a professor always spends the first 10 minutes of every class taking a long time to take attendance and ask everyone how their weekend was, then I will open my laptop as soon as I get to that class so I can spend those first 10 minutes catching up on email.

ALSO, I never sleep enough :’( And your question is so sweet, thank you :) I’m not exactly a straight A student though, have gotten A minuses nearly every semester and three B+s throughout college! And my friends still say I don’t kick it enough!
