Yo, this Saturday, New Orleans’ live band supported, underground Hip Hop night, Uniquity, continues with their Summer concert series. They always put on an entertaining, high-energy show, with such local MC’s as A. Levy, SpitRaw, Tha Cartel, and more. If you are interested in checking out the local underground scene, we recommend you check out the show, and bring some clothing to support their clothing drive!

Monster ft. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj - Kanye West

This is the song that the Kanye quote I blogged a couple days ago is from. Dangerous showed this to me when it dropped, and my immediate reaction was “This song fucking RULES!” It’s so intense and dark; I, personally, envision them all lurking and creeping about close to the ground in a V-formation. The highlight, though, is Nicki Minaj’s verse, the last verse - soooo fucking raw and soulful. The part where she screams “I’M A MOTHERFUCKIN MONSTAAAAAA” needs to be screamed with your hands facing up, in claws, and howling at the sky.

Key line - ‘you could be the King but watch the Queen conquer’
