I need to move there & get re-educated. Thanks Jannik :-D
The B+ kills me because I am a perfectionist, but in conjunction with working 30-40 hours per week and having a new dog at home and maintaining some semblance of a social life/going to lots of shows, I’m quite happy with this semester’s performance.
Drove down from the Bay Area yesterday with my dad - we covered so much excellent ground in our talks. I love road trips and who better to drive with than my papa? Subjects that stick out in my mind are North Korea, manifest destiny, and the different branches of electronic music (with copious amounts of examples). Yes, Papa Z now knows what minimal tech house and dubstep are. Happy holidays to you and your families :)
Schedule for my very last semester of college. I like it.
HONORS THESES
Freshman year of college. I’m sitting in the lobby on the 7th floor of my dorm, filling out the application form for the Honors program. A budding frat star that I am semi-acquaintences with walks in. He asks me what I’m filling out. I tell him it’s an application to be an Honors student. He replies.. “HA, WELL HAVE FUN WITH YOUR HONORS THESIS. THIS IS GONNA BE MYYYYY HONORS THESIS!!! (makes motion of chugging several beers)”.. I still think this story is hilarious. And I’m really looking forward to writing my honors thesis!
THIS IS MY BEAUTIFUL SCHEDULE FOR NEXT SEMESTER (if all goes well in being waitlisted for MGMT4150). I have been wanting a Tuesday/Thursday schedule and have never been able to make it work at all so I am stoked beyond belief on this. More time to work/study/play on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and 4 day weekends all semester long!! And the 8:30 AM class is a 0.5 credit one that only meets three times a semester, not every week, Career Development & Management, which doesn’t count as a class really. I know I have super long days on those days but what can you expect from squeezing 7 classes into two days. I much prefer it to going every day for a shorter time; at least on those days I’ll be productive ALL DAY. When I have only a couple classes a day I tend to go to those and then be totally unproductive for the remainder of the day. My classes are as follows: French Media Oral Performance, Investments in Equities, Fixed Income Securities, Equity Analysis/Burkenroad Reports, Energy Fund & Trading, Management of Technology and Innovation, and Environment, Society & Capitalism. Sounds like all the stuff I talk about in my blog right?
Well, no B’s this year, which feels great. I had made Chinese a pass/fail course because I thought that, with 19.5 credit-hours this semester, I wouldn’t focus on it. I ended up getting an A in it though, which really pisses me off, because that would’ve boosted my GPA.. Anyways, let’s party.
